AP And UB Might Pay Only 15-20% Back To Players

After Black Friday all players are waiting to get their money back from Absolute Poker (AP), Ultimate Bet (UB) and Full Tilt (FT). It seems that players on AP and UB can be more optimistic for a refund.

Before getting too happy, the news is not so positive. It seems that all players will get back about 15-20 cents/$. It does not hurt much if someone has $20-30, however players with thousands of USD on their account will not be happy about the decision. The first reactions of poker players can be separated into two groups. One is happy that they get something back at all after waiting for such a long time. The other group consists of players who have not lost their hope to get their whole account back and they are very unhappy with the possible solution.

The actual situation is that AP and UB probably close their doors and they pay out to players what they have left. Some days before this statement, Brent Beckey, co-founder of AP was found guilty of conspiracy activities and he also admitted he knew it was illegal to deceive the banks. As Beckey confessed his guiltiness he might saved himself many years of imprisonment. The Wall Street Journal also states that Beckey is most likely facing a year or a year-and-a-half in prison which is not a lot considering the maximum amount of 30 years. The poker society does not drop many tears for Beckey and his colleagues in the forums.
